Creating a Game based on Prototype
After one full month working on this game, we have finally finished and released this game to the public!
For those who don't know about the background of this game, you can check our previous blog post, Learning Godot by Prototyping #1 and Learning Godot by Prototyping #2. Basically, we convert one of our most popular prototype on Reddit, an avoidance game, into a full game.
A finished game is alot more complex than a prototype, so we are forced to learn lots of new thing in Godot to be able to finish the game. We learn new things about audio management, asset management, localization, local save data, and polish, polish, polish! For a mini games, we are really proud on how it turned out despite how few we have spare time left to do this side project.
We call it Don't Hat the Cat, actually based on one of redditor suggestion that really love the game. It actually grow on us and we decide use that name for this game title.
You can go and check it out now, it's free! If you want to support us though, you can add a few more dollars and get the Meow Edition (at $2) where all the text and sfx is in cat language, and Royal Feline Edition ($4) where you can get the paw friendly version (including .apk file for Android device) so you can play with your own (or neighbour) cat! eHeHe
